Decoding Cancer Podcast

About Project

Decoding Cancer is a podcast from the Irish Cancer Society that joins cancer survivors and experts to help answer the publics “big cancer questions”. The podcast is hosted by Dr. Robert O’Connor, the Irish Cancer Society Director of Research, who is joined by a number of experts from NPHET and the WHO as well as cancer survivors from around Ireland.

This podcast was produced remotely with virtual recording software and some audio equipment that we recommended to the host. A producer from Rathdown Media was present during all the sessions to provide technical support and take care of the recording. There was also continual contact between ourselves and the team at the Irish Cancer Society in order to maintain as close to studio quality throughout the production process.

Starting a podcast can be a daunting task, but with the professional help and guidance of Aileen and Ewan we were able to smoothly navigate this process, along with added difficulties associated with having to record participants remotely, to end up with a product that we are very proud of in our Decoding Cancer series, and we would highly recommend their services.
