Conferences are a good opportunity to gather short but effective video interviews with participants, and Alcohol Health Alliance  hired us to produce a series of video interviews in a newsy and informative style at one of their half-day conferences in Dublin city centre (pre-COVID19).

We used the conference event to capture good B-roll and audio of the speakers and attendance; our audio was captured on our Zoom h4n digital recorders for maximum quality and were used in subsequent podcasts. We set up a pop-up video studio style set up in an adjoining room with lighting and cameras to gather short news-style video interviews with panellists – some of whom were under time pressure and were only available for a short time, so having questions and points ready to go was essential.

Our news experience came into good use for this project. The editing of the subsequent interviews enabled us to provide both longer interviews with panellists as well as short clips for social media and promotional
materials.
